How to: Create a new folder (directory) directly on the Windows desktop.
Solution:
Right-click on the Windows desktop, select 'New', and select 'Folder'.
1) Right-click on an empty area of the Windows desktop. (A pop-up menu appears.)
2) Select 'New' from the pop-up menu. (A submenu appears.)
3) Select 'Folder' from the 'New' submenu. (A new folder appears with the name 'New Folder'.)

4) Type a new name for the folder. (The current name is replaced as you type.)
5) Press ENTER to accept the new name.
